The National Storytelling Challenge 2014 (NSC 2014)

This competition actually happened early this year. March to be exact. This year, I was (and still am) a little ambitious. I sent 3 schools to enter- 2 primary schools and 1 secondary school. And needless to say, I was very pleased with their achievements, especially since this was the first time that all 3 schools participated in the competition.

For those who might be unaware of the competition format or what this competition is about, let me just briefly describe it. It is an impromptu storytelling competition where the students will not know the title or the theme to their stories till 15 minutes before they were supposed to be on stage. In these 15 minutes, they will then have to come up with a story that adheres to the themes or titles given. They will also be given a unique condition that they would have to incorporate into the story. The story would have to be between three to five minutes. At the end of the story, the students will be judged on clarity, creativity and content.

Teck Whye Primary School managed to get into the quarter finals for the group category. Rivervale Primary School managed to clinch the runner-up in the Individual Category.

The big win goes to Bukit Panjang Government High School, as the students emerged Champion for the Group Category.

Congratulations to all the winners!

A Little Introduction

Hi everyone.

I’ve been meaning to update this for quite a while now. The entries here may seem a little casual for a business entity that is involved in education, but do allow me to just explain on the choice of style. A.D.I Concept is formed with one intention in mind— to infuse FUN in Education through Arts. And who says you can’t have seriousness infused with fun in an informal manner?

So leave the formality behind and take a ride with me through these madcap adventures that I have with A.D.I Concept.
